We Are Here to Help YOU Navigate the Medical Marijuana Program

Step 1.    Schedule your appointment with our Medical Marijuana (MMJ) Specialist.

Our MMJ Specialist will answer your questions and address your concerns regarding MMJ.

If you have medical records supporting the diagnosis/reason for the medical marijuana we will need to request those records – don’t worry, we help you with that too.

Step 2.   Once it is determined that you wish to move forward, our MMJ Specialist will assist you in completing the state required application for the Medical Marijuana Use Registry. The application will provide you with the Medical Marijuana Identification Card.  With the assistance of our MMJ Specialist your application is completed and submitted electronically. You will need to pay $77.75 with a credit card. If you are paying by check or money order you will pay $75.00 and mail it to OMMU (this is a longer process.)

Step 3. You are scheduled to see Dr. van Diepen – she will review your records, evaluate, and determine your recommendation. Dr. van Diepen is qualified by the Office of Medical Marijuana. Use to recommend therapeutic cannabis. She is also a member of AMMPA – American Marijuana Physicians Association.

Step 4.  Once you have received your Medical Marijuana Use Registry Card, or your temporary I.D. card via email, you can go to the recommended dispensary or a dispensary of your choice to pick up your recommendation. Some of the dispensaries offer home/office delivery.

Getting your card.

  • You will need proof of residency. Our office can help you upload a government-issued photo I.D. card, voter registration, or utility bill. The address in the demographics section of the MMUR must match the address exactly as shown in the document used for proof of residency. You will need an email address. If you don’t have an email address, we can help you in establishing one.

  • Once the application is submitted and the fee is paid to the Office of Medical Marijuana, the OMMU can take up to 30 business days to approve documents, or as few as 10 business days or less.

  • Once approved, you will receive an email from the MMUR stating that you have been approved. This email will serve as your temporary I.D. card until your official I.D. card arrives in the mail. According to the state, the official ID card should take 3-5 days.

  • Any questions – we are here for you.
